“Skidooing Around Nick Universe”
The world of Nick Universe in East Rutherford, New Jersey is home to record breaking attractions themed to some of the most iconic Nickelodeon characters. We briefly covered the park in a prior blog entitled: Legends of the Nick Universe, which you can explore here

Today, we are focusing on the attractions themed to the world of Nick Jr, in honor of Paw Patrol releasing its first theatrical film this week. These attractions are not as intense as others in the park, but they offer fun experiences for guests of all ages due to their nostalgic theming.
The first of these we will cover is Blue’s Skidoo: an aerial ride based on the hit show Blue’s Clues. It has guests “skidoo” around in a circular motion, with the vehicles themselves designed after the Blue’s Clues characters Magenta and Blue. Besides the ride, guests can find the iconic Thinking Chair with Blue propped behind it. This allows for a fun photo opportunity for Blue’s Clues fans of all ages who grew up with the show.

It Contains Recreated Props From The Show (The Thinking Chair, Side Table Drawer, and the Yellow Picture Frame)
Dora’s Sky Railway is an elevated train ride themed to the Dora The Explorer franchise. The attraction allows guests of all ages to travel across and obtain a scenic view of the park. The caboose features a cameo from Benny the Bull, one of Dora’s friends from the show. The entrance of the attraction is designed after a hot air balloon to resemble guests traveling above the clouds onto this elevated railroad track. In 2021, a new attraction opened titled Boot’s Banana Swing. It is modeled after a Happy Swing ride: an attraction that swings back and forth like a large swing, hence the name. Dora, alongside Blue, can also be found on the Slime Stage: a section of the park serving as a meet and greet with Nickelodeon characters.

Paw Patrol has a significant amount of rides and representation at Nick Universe. First, there’s Paw Patrol Adventure Bay, an interactive play area for guests to enjoy. This area consists of different climbable structures based on locations from the world of Paw Patrol. Each main member of the Paw Patrol team can be found in this area, in addition to the show’s iconic lookout tower. Each of the pup’s vehicles can also be found in this area for guests to interact with. Pup, Pup, and Away is a Ferris Wheel attraction also themed to the world of paw patrol. Each cabin is based off of the color scheme of a specific Paw Patrol team member, with 6 cabins total. Finally, there’s Zuma’s Zoomers. It is a whip ride, with the vehicles designed after Zuma’s hovercrafts from the show.

There are other Nick Jr attractions found at Nick Universe, but we wanted to focus on the attractions themed to these 3 franchises for we personally felt they have had some of the greatest popularity and reach.
